The Villa Stables
The Villa Stables comprises two separate cottages in the middle of Laxfield close to the shop and two pub/restaurants. Both cottages are listed buildings retaining all their original character now complemented with simple, comfortable modern amenities, TV/DVD/video, washer/dryer, microwave, etc. The Old Stables sleeps up to 4 and The Loose Box sleeps 2; a cot and high chair are available and pets are welcome. Off-road parking and paved garden areas are also available. Situated either side of a small courtyard the cottages can be hired together for larger groups or families.
Oil fired central heating, hot water, bed linen and towels are included. Electricity for lighting and appliances is metered at cost. Breakfast can be provided for self-catering guests by prior arrangement and is served in the main house. B&B is also available in the main house.
With its 15th/ and 16th century village centre, Laxfield is an attractive and lively village in Mid Suffolk, one of the most unspoilt parts of the country and is ideal for exploring the nearby Suffolk heritage and coastal attractions. Laxfield also has two attractive pub/restaurants, both currently thriving. Approx. 30 minutes drive to Aldeburgh or Southwold and close to Framlingham, Halesworth and Woodbridge.
Apart from touring other local activities include walking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching, tennis, riding, shooting, swimming and golf. There are concerts and theatrical performances at nearby Snape Maltings and The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth and an increasing number of pubs and restaurants serving excellent food. Or, you could just enjoy the peace and quiet of The Villa Stables.
