Situated in 1 ½ acres of private land and surrounded by open countryside, all rooms enjoy fine views, peace and tranquility. Pheasant roam across the lawns and deer are frequently spotted in the field beside the property. With ample off road parking, secure garage accommodation, jet-wash facilities for mountain bikes, and a beautiful guest lounge with wood-burning stove, Glenacre can accommodate walkers, motor enthusiasts, cyclists or those who simply want to relax.

In the evening, guests can make use of the beautifully decorated west-facing lounge, with wood burning stove, radio/CD player, books, games, piano and guitar. The 4 -star Jedforest Hotel and Restaurant (www.jedforesthotel.com) is a 10 minute walk from the property, and Jedburgh (5 minutes by car) has many great restaurants, cafes and bars, serving everything from Thai to Indian to traditional Scottish. Light evening meals, using quality local produce, can be provided by prior arrangement.


Breakfast is served in the cosy Hawthorn Snug. Using local free range eggs, the specialty of the house is freshly made pancakes and barbequed bacon rolls, whatever the weather! Also available is porridge, cereal, fruit juice, toast, tea and coffee. When the sun shines, breakfast can be taken on the patio, and for those in the Oak Room, on the deck overlooking the Jed Valley. A high chair is also available.


Access to the B&B is via a gently sloping ramp and all doors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. Glenacre is completely non-smoking but feel free to take in the fresh air and the views around the property!

Our three spacious bedrooms are presented to an exceptionally high standard, and mix contemporary and traditional furniture and décor.
