The House on the Ford has two ensuite double rooms and a double/twin room whith shared bathroom. All the rooms have TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The decoration of the rooms is simple and pretty and in keeping with the period of the house. Ponies, donkies, highland cattle and sometimes pigs wander about outside attracted by the forest stream on our doorstep. The location is pin drop quiet with nothing but the dawn chorus to be heard in the mornings which is why guests tend to sleep well here. Although a quiet corner of Brockenhurst village it is only a short walk away down Angel Valley to get to the village centre with a choice of some very good restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and shops.
Brockenhurst is in the centre of the New Forest just 90 minutes away by train or a little longer by road. There is so much to do - cycling miles along off road tracks, walking in the beautiful forest full of wild flowers in the spring and blackberries in the autumn. There are many walks to discover to hidden pubs and walks along the lovely Lymington River. The Isle of White can be reached easily by a short heritage train ride 30 minute ferry crossing with no need to take the car.
We welcome families with children and guests of all ages and nationalities. Breakfast here can be a real meeting of nations. Breakfasts are home cooked to order with a choice of full English to fresh fruit plates and endless pots of coffee and tea with homemade jams and marmalades.
