Arden House has a gravel drive large enough to accommodate several cars. Guests receive a warm welcome with tea and biscuits in the conservatory, and can relax in the garden or use the sitting room with hundreds of books, a baby grand piano, HiFi and TV. There’s WiFi internet access available too. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds, bedside tables, chairs, dressing tables and wardrobes: there's a double with en-suite shower room, a twin with its own bathroom, and a single often used by a parent or a child. For en suite rooms we ask £37 per person per night; if sharing a bathroom it’s £32. There are discounts for long stays and short breaks.

Breakfast is in our spacious conservatory, designed to accommodate two vigorous vines that produce abundant sweet grapes from early summer and whose forest of leaves give dappled shade to protect from the hot sun. There's grapefruit, plentiful home baked bread, the usual range of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, and New Forest produce: bacon, sausages, honey, jams and marmalade. We can cook more or less whatever you ask for! You are welcome to enjoy the sunshine and shade of the apple trees in our secluded garden which looks out onto a wilderness full of chestnut and beech trees with an abundance of squirrels and a variety of birds.

We can tell you about things to do locally, and will help you find good local restaurants: six within walking distance, and others farther afield for lunch or swish evening meals.
