Lea Hill cottages are remote, yet within easy reach of the Devon market town of Axminster, with its many hidden gems such as the River Cottage shop and canteen.
Venture further afield and we are an ideal centre for discovering a delightful, unexplored corner of Devon bordering both Somerset and Dorset. To the North the quiet roads and charming villages of the Blackdown Hills, the Somerset levels and Vale of Taunton. Or go South to enjoy the World Heritage Jurassic Coast—from Seaton's tramway along the wildlife-rich Axe estuary to Charmouth's visitor centre and fossil hunting.

Sand and shingle, rocks or promenades—there is variety enough at our World Heritage Site coastline to interest all ages. Many attractions lie within 40 minutes' drive meaning that there is plenty to do whatever the weather.

Ideal for short breaks are Kingfisher and Chaffinch -

These spacious apartments have been created from an ancient thatched barn. They retain attractive period features. Each has a comfortably furnished living room with woodburner effect electric stove, a well equipped kitchen and ensuite bedroom (bathroom with over-bath shower). Kingfisher, on the upper floor, has a double bed. Chaffinch, on the ground floor has Zip & Link twin beds which convert to a luxuriously large double bed. There are delightful country views from the lounge.

Outside, Kingfisher has access, from a small balcony entrance, to a charming raised terrace.
Chaffinch has a small, sunny, private terrace at the front and a small lawned garden at the rear.
