The cottage is situated on a quiet country lane in the picturesque rural village of Bomere Heath, close to the medieval town of Shrewsbury. A very warm welcome awaits you.
We have luxurious ground floor rooms with en-suites (one with wet room) and country views. Rooms have LCD tvs with Freeview, dvd radio and usb, dressing gowns, slippers, essential kits, luxury toiletries, chocolates, flowers, garden bird guides and country views.
The accommodation is full of character inc beams and log burner in the cosy lounge. A full Shropshire breakfast is served in the light and attractive dining conservatory. Alternatively, breakfast may be served in your room for ease and convenience. A vegetarian option is also available as are tea, coffee, juice, cereals, fruit and toast.
We will gladly meet any specific dietary requests or specific requirements notified in advance. There is a microwave, iron, ironing board, adjustable shower stool, high chair and cot available too.
Within walking distance, there is a public house (Red Lion) with live music nights, shop, post office, fish and chip takeaway, hairdressers with beauty salon, village hall (open to non-members), tennis court, cricket ground and children’s play area. Fishing can be undertaken at Merrington Green, the River Severn or one of the meres in Ellesmere.
This is a village gone back in time located 4 miles north of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. With views towards Pim Hill, which rises to 163m and covered in Rhodendrums in early summer, Bomere Heath is easily accessible to Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Chester, North Wales, Ironbridge Gorge, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
